Car Registration Durban

Last car I bought was in August, previous one in April. Both of them were purchased privately, I did the paperwork and the sellers didn't hand in the yellow form. Same with the many other cars I've bought in the last few years.

This applies to my experience at Randburg.

Giving this thread a bump since I ran into an issue. I've read you can register a car without COR, but you'll need to provide COR when renewing the car license, is this common knowledge? I don't want to sit in a queue then be told it can't be done.

Also is there place in Durban that someone can recommend for Chevrolet parts/spares, I need to get the rubber pedals since I didn't pass COR. I phoned the dealership and they don't have stock.

Need this sorted ASAP since the insurance needs the car registration certificate in my name and the policy kicks in from next month.

You can do change of ownership without COR, did that 2 months ago.

You can get generic rubber or wannabe racer foot pedal covers from Midas/autozone that should work hundreds, don't cost much.

Tried, they only keep for VW, Nissan, Ford etc. Will check out Midas though.

You can register the car and you pay the licensing but you won't get a disk. As soon as roadworthy is done, you can go back for a disk
