Car remote-jamming syndicate bust in KZN

If they want it they take it.
They forced the passenger lock on our huyndai atos, last time I left anything of value in the boot.
Now it either comes with me when I go shop (in secured parking areas/shopping centres) or it is not in the car if I have to stop elsewhere.

And still people insists on leaving their valuables inside their vehicles... the mind boggles.

Do you know how often I have PC equiment in the car, that is not mine? Often 3 -4 units while I walk away to hand over someone else's stuff?

Always lock car, pull handle on a door to ensure secure lockng. And there are some in shopping centres.

Efficient intelligence-gathering coupled with careful observation has led to a highly skilled remote-jamming syndicate being taken down by police this week.

There's minimal skill required to jam a car's remote. Gate remotes work on many cars and if that does not work, use your own remote to jam other cars. Shockingly easy. I've learned to ensure my car is locked after pressing the remote.

They're a lot more skilled than those who think they lock their cars without checking.
