Car scratched in complex

The annoying thing is that I keep my car in pristine condition. I always wash and wax it myself, clay it every 3 years or so. It's an 18yr 350z which I have owned for 13 years. Now it feels like all that work over the years was a waste when someone can just go and ruin the paint like this in 1 minute.

Definitely ask around if anyone saw anything. Report to BC in case it is a trend. If the BC insurance can cover great but most complex's have a park at own risk clause hence it will probably be your insurance. Definitely encourage the BC to set up CCTV camera's down major roads. Not that expensive these days and you can then figure out a lot.

None of the above. Just keep to myself and basically just chat to the guards and caretakers sometimes. Living by myself there for over 5 years now and don't even have people over as it's just a smallish 1 bedroom apartment. The complex has no pets.
Well if you pretty sure you have never pissed anyone off or have nobody in the complex that might have had a love interest in you. Then go after body corporate insurance. If it hits their pockets, maybe they would find the kid or person responsible and claim from them.

I have let the owner know (I'm renting), the guards as well as another guy who parks near me. He said he attends the trustee meetings and will bring it up.

I mean that proper sucks.
I'd definitely let the BC know and if there's like a Whatsapp group or something, ask if anyone knows anything.

Can post pics of mint 350Z? The unscratched side

Not sure if there is a whatsapp group. There may be one but I'm not aware of it. Was thinking of putting a note up on my car saying something like this. Though not sure if I should just let the body corporate handle it though their emails or whatever. I've already let the guards and a trustee know as well as the apartment owner.

PLEASE CONTACT ME AT UNIT xx IF YOU KNOW OR SAW WHO SCRATCHED MY CAR
Reward also offered if can provide enough information to press charges and recoup repair costs

In the small 1% chance that someone comes forward with information, I plan on reporting the culprit at a police station so that they get a criminal record. Whether it's a kid or adult.

Is there any Nissan salesman in your complex? Maybe they are trying to get you into a 370z?

I thought about the reward thing, putting up posters around the complex but that's probably not allowed; also was wary of unintended consequences, like people just start accusing other folk they don't like.
Plus the person most likely to read the note would be the same person that scratched it in the first place.
Maybe that's an idea, put a note, set up a camera to see who comes close enough to read it.

So the owner of my apartment just emailed a proper complaint to Trafalgar. She didn't hold back. Will see what comes out of it. Won't put a note up as this should be enough.
I feel your pain, but there is not much the managing agents can do.
They cant be responsible for the actions of some D@@s.
It's just plain vandalism probably fueled by jealousy or a kid that thought it was a funny prank.

Get camera footage, ask them to send it to you, then you can go through it as it might take a while.

Feel your pain man, this is why I hate complex living. People just don't give a rats ass about other people's property. You can go around trying to find the culprit, and report them to the police, but what good will that do? Truth be told, the police don't give a schit unfortunately. Get it fixed with your insurance and move on

The reason I would go to the police is to **** them over by giving them a record. So they ****ed for life whenever they try to get a proper job. Though doubt I'd ever get enough evidence without cameras.
