Car sound advice

^ he just needs a good quality sub powered by a good quality amp, in a sealed enclosure.
Not just that, he also needs a decent split system. Those OEM speakers are not great, unless (and it pains me to say this) it's on a VW/Audi...

No it's clearly on topic/point since you mentioned it in your op.

You're very confused, and clearly ignorant. At least I gain post counts ...

Okay enough now. You took literally what was clearly said jokingly and we have thus wound up here. Confused? No. Ignorant? Yes, hence the thread. I know enough to know the basics of what is required, as well as knowing that I don't know enough to rush out and purchase, hence the thread.

I'll take ignorance over arrogance everyday of the week. Every post of yours in this thread has a condescending tone. So instead of noting ignorance (hence the thread) and offering actual advice, you're strutting like a cock in a henhouse.

Anyway, thanks for the advice gents. Once I get the car I'll take a look at what comes as standard and update - will be in a better position then.

I am getting you and I know what you're saying. We've veered way off the point of this thread now, so forgive me if I don't entertain the semantic nitpicking any further.

Thanks man, I'll check those products out. I don't even mind doing the installation myself, I'm fairly hands on. Will see what they quote and take it from there I guess.

Do not do the installation yourself. You will most probably void your vehicles warrantee.

I would recommend a decent split system with a bit of sound deadening in the doors, A 4 channel amp and a 10 inch sub in a seealed enclosure. There are products that offer basic package specials like Kicker, Lightning Audio & DD Audio. There is actually a DD Audio special running at some installers at the moment for R6500. IIRC its a 6.5" split system with sound deadening in the doors, with 4 channel amp and a 12 inch sub in a sealed enclosure, all installed.

Sounds like a decent system for the price. Thanks man.
