I recently bought a Calibra 3000W Sub from Autostyle, but i am sitting with a 700w 4ch amp. I am looking for a new amp and just wanted to find out what your'll think i should go for.
I was looking at the calibra 3000w monoblock they selling at the moment, looks descent, or the StarSound 2000w 2ch.
1 Rockford Fosgate 15" P3 Subwoofer + 1 RF T1 t500.1bd Monoblock AMP ...... people will hear you comming. My friend has 2 of these in his car and he breaks up famalies if you knw what i mean
there are differences between 15, 12, 10 and 8" subwoofers, whatever strikes your fancy!
I have a Calibra 3000w Sub crossed over on a Starsound 2500w 2ch amp. The bass just all of the sudden went off after using it for over 3 months. Now when I try connecting it in my sisters car, I melts the Power cable!!
Agreed with some other posters about the MBQuart splits. I bought a pair for R2,700.00 about 4 years back and they're awesome. When I sold my car I took them out (a year back) and am keeping them to install when I have extra money.
From what I heard, at all the IASCA competitions MBQuart has won most the Gold awards since 1986 and no one could better them with regards to speakers. RF then bought them out to dominate the competition - but (and I stand to be corrected) - they've started handling them more like a business, cutting costs etc and some models are now made in China.
