I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a fake news report, because I seriously doubt that blacks can be so totally freaking stupid to believe is such rubbish. It's like that other urban legend about blacks, that there is some type of magic water, that protects you from getting shot with bullets, totally unbelievable.

You'd better believe they believe. Watched a documentary just the other night featuring the supposed magical properties of hyeana tail and other magical muti. Hard to credit adults being so gullible but this sort of thing is rife throughout the continent, to this day.
You can put the wind up even well educated blacks with talk of the Tokoloshe.

Why the "blacks" generalisation? Was a few stupid Nigerians who clearly tucked into their nasal candy stash before bringing it over the border (yay for generalisations). It's not indicative of all blacks..
