So I'm sitting here, waiting for my car to finish being washed and I've noticed a huge majority of drivers leave or give their keys to the staff to move the cars.

Am I the minority here that won't give my keys to the guys?

/inb4 I clean my own car

/inb4 your grammar though

:p

nope, seeing how a car wash apprentice drove a new Merc into a wall, I think ill do it myself

I will not let general staff drive my car. Luckily the car wash I go to now is owned by my neighbour so I trust him enough to leave the keys with him as I know that only he will drive it.

:erm:

Go to carwash
Lounge around reading your book, trolling MyBB or whatever, key in your pocket
Move car around when they need it to be moved
Go home with clean car

What am I missing here?

My gardener is more than happy to wash my car and he does a better job.

I used to drop my car at the car wash, hand over the keys and then go home with my wife. Have a nice Saturday and then go fetch my car in the afternoon.

I only stopped it because I use the wash and go now and clean the inside myself but I never had a problem leaving my car at the car wash.

I leave my keys with the car wash at the shell garage in Panorama. They generally have one guy, a manager I assume, who is in charge of moving the cars.

It all sounds so normal the way you say it. I don't know what this thread is about.

Exactly why I don't bother with car washes.
It is just too much risk with what these days is most peoples expensive possession.
We even had a car wash at my work just for employees to use, in the fenced off parking lot, they still wrote off one of the guys cars.

I use 082CARWASH here in Edenvale. Always leave the keys, and go sit and drink a free coffee. Only the owner or one of the managers drives the cars.

I dont trust carwashes not to scratch my car. I do a way more detailed job anyway.
We have one very close to my office that most of my colleagues use and they always leave their keys there.
