Unfortunately I have park outside at work, and my parking bay is under a tree. Inevitably my car ends up getting covered in bird shyte - especially when the tree fruits. I wash the mess off every evening, but I've noticed some damage in the clear coat. faint stains.

I've asked to have my parking bay moved, but there are no bays available.

Does anyone know of a good place in Cape Town that wax's and perhaps polishes if need be? I found Ryan's Car Was in Cape Quater does waxing and polishing. Anyone used them before?

Thanks!

It's not easy to remove etching from bird poo when it's etched out your clear coat.
There's not a whole lot of point doing paint correction if your car is still parking under the tree every day as you're basically removing some of the clear coat each time. You should definitely be applying wax often if that's the case though, I'd say paste wax every 2 months and maybe a top up with spray wax every 2 weeks.
I wouldn't trust any car wash with paint correction or a "polish" as they call it because they generally tend to ***** your paint up completely by using a rotary to do a quick job and leaving swirl marks all over the place, usually covered up by glaze/fillers so it sort of might look ok until after a few washes.

Might be worth getting a cover to put over the car. putting it on will be no more work than washing every evening, and it'll sit there reminding management that you need a better bay.

Get a quick detailer and wipe off the bird **** when you get home in the evening. Just spray on and wipe off. Don't let it bake on your paint for a few days.

I was removing scratches the other day... again... black cars are certainly for enthusiasts.

Anyway, I tried Meguiar's Rubbing Compound for the first time given it's large price tag. I will never use another rubbing compound ever again! It is amazing. The light scratches are totally gone. Deep scratches polished flat. Now i just need to touch up, flatten again and polish. And it smells so good I want to drink it. Even used it to get rid of the glaze on my headlights.
