Carolina Reaper chilli.

So finally, a tad later than I expected, my carolina's are starting to turn red, can't wait to eat one of these baby hell devils.

Yep that's pretty accurate. My friend tried 9m rating extract without dilution , he said it felt like a near death experience. He basically started convulsing from the pain. :crylaugh:

My mate just ordered Reaper seeds today. He's a chef and I eat his food regularly. I think I will be meeting the porcelain fate soon! He already slips me habanero sauce which murders my soul.

I think its the wrong time to be germinating seeds though.

I'll be starting germination in a few days.

Does anyone in CPT perhaps have a few lemon drop seeds?

Supplier was out of stock, don't really want to place another order with a different company for just the one variety.

Aah ok. Someone told me to take a glass jar, pour water in, shake, pour it out. Place seeds in and put lid on. Then place in a warm area. Works like a bomb. Bhut Jolaika's, Tobasco and Trinidad allready outside in pots. Can't wait to feed those chillis to my mates. :twisted:

My seeds arrived today.

normally I'd just keep seeds moist between two cotton wool pads, those circular ones. Found that worked really well - i Think those were scotch bonnets or close family.

I hear really hot ones are harder to germinate.

I have one of these from when they were still available in SA and we were selling them:

I am going to attaching a heating pad to the bottom of that sprouter then connecting it to a thermostat that I use for home brewing - a temperature probe will go into the sprouter.

hoping for good germination rates with that as I only have 5 seeds of some of the varieties.

I have some propagation mix that I will prob put into the sprouter's water
 
^^^ MSB, that looks nice !! Maybe you should start building and selling them.

I also ordered from seeds for africa. arrived today, with a few free seeds.

I didn't go for the carolina reaper. not that brave just yet. been keen to try bhut jolokia for a long time
