Carte Blanche

Well Zim has certainly exported it's fair share of Whenwe types and Namibia were really part of South Africa up till the late 80s weren't they?

Fudzy, please explain your stance. I am not clear as to what point you are trying to make. :) Bit late in the evening for me I guess.

Well I asked what other African countries had the same sort of system as South Africa and you said Namibia & Zimbabwe.

:eek:it's like that guy wanted to steal the camera, and then one of his friends are not even ashamed t admit it :eek::eek:

That was the worst part when that guy actually said he could steal the camera, on a show like Panorama...disgusting, idiot

I agree that the purpose of this docu was to discredit our potential "leaders" and expose a level of crime and poverty that the ANC was supposed to sort out, or at least attmpt to sort out. But I had no problem with the overall programme.

Their intention was not to come to South Africa and report on what a rosy situation we have now - they were intending to expose to the rest of the world what we as South Africans have been putting up with - which was crime, poverty, racial imbalances and in-equality, poor governance, corruption etc. I believe they did a fair job in doing this.

Would someone please explain how they might have made this docu in your opinion more fair? They even gave JZ the opportunity to defend his statements and publicly apologize - he made a tool of himself all on his own. Why? His statements were undefendable, and the BBC exposed this and his inability to lead SA.

Zuma did that to himself IMHO.
I changed my mind, Please give Mbeki life presidency, I cannot stomach such a bafoon to run this country or would exactly that rather be better for us on the Loooong run than we have now?

Please God, save the nation.

ZUMA FOR PRESIDENT !

What I really liked about him was that he didn't pretend to be a great intellectual - he laughs quite well - and most of all he APOLOGISED for his behaviour with the shower. When's the last time you heard a govt minister apologise for anything, and then NOT try to blame someone else ?
Remember Dept President on the power crisis ? "Eish, I must apologise, BUT" and there's always a BUT with these buffoons - at least with Zuma there was not BUT.

Zambussi, you have to admit that it would be difficult to trust this man with National Intelligence issues and important national organizational issues.

I think we can pack for Perth the moment it comes to light that he is pardoning Schaik...

Actually if you listened closely he blamed the media saying 'its you guys, its the media' 'I didnt think a shower would cure AIDS, How could I think that'

So there he is denying it. The only thing he apologised for basically was sleeping with an HIV positive woman. Saying: Dont make the same mistake.

Ive heard Zuma speak before on television... and he didnt sound too bad. But after watching this BBC Documentary I just realised that he is a complete retard. He cannot even speak the english language properly. You would really have to be a complete moron to keep voting for the ANC with that buffoon as president.

It's called judgement. How can you trust a man who's judgment is so poor that he managed to make such a monumental mistake. Would you trust a doc to operate on you if he'd removed a kidney instead of a liver from his previous patient? He'd no doubt apologise but is he competent.

Secondly it's in his interests to apologise. He hasn't got ultimate power yet so he has something to lose by not apologising. When he does get that power he will no longer have worry about apologising because he'll have nobody to answer too.

When you are the figure Zuma is, saying "sorry, I made a mistake" and "serias" just won't cut it. Hitler made mistakes, PW Botha and his cronies made mistakes, Mugabe is still making mistakes - we all know how that ends. If Zuma's behavior screws up this country, that last thing people want to hear is "sorry, I made a mistake"

On the other insert about the raped matriculant - is it just me or is the whole family VERY articulate? I found that rather curious...

The scariest thing of all was when Desmond said he is surprised that the people haven't run riot yet and anarchy has ruled. WTF!!

WTF are they doing then

Perhaps he means it hasn't completely gone crazy :o

Not curios at all ... they have all obvioulsy made use of private schools. Both my kids and all their mates speak just as well (although the young boy did seem exceptional).
