Carzuka - extremely dissapointing experience

thousands of possibilities, but its not somebody fault, might even be a totally innocent explanation.
dont you agree?

and another angle, what if you got there and car had driven to Cairo and back by Michael Schumacher.
and was just given a Nice car-wash and put on the Showroom floor.

would you have felt any better?
A lot of what ifs coming from you. The point is the guys wasted a whole morning of mine and my wife's. Whether this was deliberate or by accident I'll never know.

I just wanted to warn others considering driving out there that they might very well be disappointed too

fair enough,

hence why its better to buy while standing next to the Car/House/Whatever
that way you can never be totally disappointed.

do agree its quite sucky to drive down to find the car gone, but like everything else in the world, First come first served.

Wahahaha. These guys are complete idiots. The car is back on Autotrader and their website. I phoned out of curiosity, but it's not available.

Hey guys. Just a heads up to not get too excited when dealing with carzuka.

Wife and I have been looking to get her a new (used) car for a while and saw Carzuka had exactly what she wanted in stock for a good price. We phoned yesterday to confirm the car was available, were sent confirmation of our appointment for today and sent pics of the car on Whatsapp. We both took the morning off to drive through to Eastgate from Pretoria with a little bit of excitement in our hearts. When we eventually found the place (it's tucked away in the Eastgate parking area with no signage at all), the run around started. First, we were told the vehicle was on another floor, so we walked there, after which we were told that no, it was in fact upstairs and we just needed to wait downstairs, the salesman would fetch it for us. Eventually sales guy returns to tell us the car is no longer available - it was sold internally. Shocker.

Apart from the physical loss in terms of wasted time and the fuel costs, buying a car is an emotional process and the morning has left a very sour taste in our mouths. Just be warned that when dealing with them you might very well be in for an unpleasant surprise too.
Happened to me yesterday with Suzuki. Phoned about a Grand Vitara for sale... "Was it the white one or the grey one with black roof?"... "the white one"... "So sorry, we received a deposit for that one yesterday but would you be interested in...."

I suspect stock is a problem but they can claim plausible deniability if ever reported to ASA since it takes time to get ads off the web you know....

The trouble for consumers is you set your heart on something and that's half the transaction right there, so people often settle for something else in the end.

Not like they sold the car while he was enroute to the dealer, the car was seemingly sold some time ago, and I don't think he is saying they should have held the car for him.

They don't seem to know what is going on in real time with their stock, which should be the most basic thing a business like this should be able to handle.

And buy while standing next to the car? What nonsense is this eg2505? You see a car, you inquire about it and if it's available you go look at it, which is exactly what he was doing, what do you think he was going to do if the car was there? Of course he was going to buy while standing next to it.

But that sounds like fair business to me, unlike what happened to Speedster, I doubt we would have this thread if he had your experience, it does happen that a car is sold whilst you are still admiring it's beauty on the internet, any salesperson who won't take advantage of offering an alternative is a very bad salesperson.

Except guess what? The car is still on cars.co.za
The number of times I've been through this in the past 5 years is quite incredible. Stock is always a problem - they need stock to attract clients. Once they have you committed in your head/heart, they find it way easier to sell what they actually have.

My hard headedness goes the other way - once they've burnt me I am far less likely to buy from them
