Sniff, I go back to work that day ... no Cata for a month!

Since we talking a bit o Cata; does anyone know if the current heirloom gear will be obsolete or will Blizz change it to carry on scaling it for 85? The xp bonus is awesome for leveling! :D

There was a discussion about it a while ago. There will be newly added items but the older ones will scale to 85. Well that was the last speculation though :o

Actually Blizzard stated in a blue post that they won't scale to 85, but only to 80. At 85 you will be able to buy new ones that will scale to 85. However that was about a year ago when people started a craze on farming for heirlooms to make their 80-85 leveling faster when Cata hits.

I think you are right. I remember reading something along those lines just can't remember which fits where :D

I recall there being new items, and I think they said the scaling won't happen because of the new expansion and the achievements.

Well something liek that....
