Grahamstown water crisis
It seems that two independant laboratories have declared the water we now receive as perfectly safe. So much for the hype that we were all being poisoned with 'heavy metals'. Rhodes now has egg on its face and the perpetrator of the metals hype has his head in the sand.
Other than that we're a great, quiet (especially during vac!) City - and we survive!!!

I say to Rhodes, Well done for raising the issue. That general area in the Eastern Cape is reknowned for bad water. It doesn't surprise me in the least that the water is bad, though not bad enough to make you sick.I strongly recommend you boil all water and put it through a water filter. That's the only way to be sure to be sure.
