A Ex co worker gave me a bottle of cayenne pepper pills , I gave it to my mom she and the doctor are still raving about the amount her cholesterol dropped after she took those pills. Even if it is a placebo I want more but guess what... she threw the bottle away!!!!!
Now i have no idea what it was called and i cannot find the person who gave it to me:(

I have googled this and can not find any.

Any idea where i can find?:o

Can that guy not help ? ;)

Why not just eat cayenne pepper which is freely available. Sounds like another homoeopathy scam to me though...

I agree with DJ, there is no shortage of cayenne pepper, why not just eat it? Obviously not straight, but you will find a way (assuming you have a will - as the saying goes)

Cookiemonster... that site just looks dodge.. but i did mail them but have not heard anything. I was hoping to find it in a store.

The doctor is also in the dark.

Its easier to take that amount in a capsule form..:o

My great aunt used to make chilli tea on a daily basis - she swore by the stuff. You could try that - or you could just try eating healthier...

Yeah, I know.. it was the first South African one I found... :D

Mila - it seems cayenne pepper is the active ingredient in Vimax Pills, which according to google are penis enlargement pills. Why didn't your boyfriend just ask the question himself?

Just take half a teaspoon of it then straight. It might not taste great, but thats not my problem :D
:D
It's for my mother just trying to make her life better;)

My mother has inherited bad cholesterol. She is 55 and still looks 40. She is a health nut, what more do you suggest?

Just go have that smoke you are craving and stop acting like an idiot.

Which brings me to my derailment question:

What is the diference between cayenne pepper, chilli powder and paprika?

Cayenne comes from the cayenne pepper. There are many different varieties of chillis. Paprika is made from capsicum which is a bell pepper...

Cut down on her cholesterol intake?

In your opinion you are the only person that are healthy and perfect and everybody else is big fat blobs?

What did you not understand?
Let me explain:
familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).

What is FH?
Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an inherited disorder that causes very high cholesterol levels and greatly increases the chance of having a heart attack early in life. Heart attacks usually occur in men when they are 40-55 years old and in women when they are 50-65 years old. Unfortunately, they can sometimes occur when people are in their mid-twenties. The first case of FH was described over 100 years ago and the characteristics of FH passing from generation to generation was understood in the late 1930's. Actual genetic proof was discovered in the 1960's and 1970's.

What Causes FH?
Cholesterol is removed from the blood by the liver using Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) receptors. Each person has two genes that are responsible for making the LDL receptors: one received from the father and one received from the mother. In a person with FH, an abnormal gene was passed on from one parent who has FH and a normal gene was passed on from the other parent. Therefore, half of the LDL receptors are absent or do not work properly and the other half are normal. Because half of the receptors do not remove the cholesterol normally, cholesterol levels increase in the blood. This results in damage to blood vessels, blockage of arteries and heart attacks at an early age.
