Hi guys,

ok in my infinite wisdom younger years i bought a cc, never actually did anything with it... im sure i have all the paperwork at home somewhere... I hope

anyway now im thinking about doing something with a CC will that one still be active ? is htere anyway i can check its status etc or is it just better to have a fresh start and start a new one ?

There are annual returns that need to be paid and filed each year.
So expect a backlog... thats if they didn't de-register your CC already.
It is possible to get it re-instated thou. Not sure what that will cost.

I cant find anywhere on there where i can check if the company has been de -registered or what ?

You need to register - alternatively, I can give you the email address of the person that I use.
She has very good rates.

according to that its in the deregistering process so im guessing the next best step would be to just start a new one ?

You can buy an existing CC or alternatively, open a Company.

A cc is better correct ? as it is seen as a seperate entity... correct me if this is wrong

so whats the easiest way to buy a shelf CC ? and why cant new ones be registered ?

You can buy a Private Company off the shelf or register your own.

I also have a CC that I registered about four years back, and like Insanity, I haven't done anything with it. I was approached twice last year to sell it to a friend of a friend. If I had to sell it, can anyone recommend a price.

ok but the pty ltd sounds exactly what i thought the CC was ... what do you mean means more paperwork ?
