Hiya

I have an old CD which im sure was created for Windows XP or older

It reads perfectly in the Wife's XP machine but when I put it in my 7 machine, it says the disc is blank

Is there a way around this?

Thanks in advance

1. Put CD in to wifes computer.
2. Copy data from disc to usb flash drive.
3. Put flash drive in your computer.
4. Read data.
5. ...
6. Profit?

Skydrive worked better thanks hahaha me = doofus for not thinking of this sooner

I had the same issue, I updated my windows via Windows update and it finally showed used/free disc space on my disc.

Update to SP1

Dude, get you're wife a new PC... Seriously!

Get wife a new cd/dvd drive. ;)

Actually, if it's an old CD-RW, it probably has a read speed of less than 4. None of the modern drives can read that slowly.
