I got this LG cd writer in July this year and it was working fine till recently. Now I struggle to even get my cd's to play. Please help me
 
or laser out of alignment..
I've had grief with LG's before where they just stop working properly over night.

If u bought it in july it should still be under warranty, go get it swapped out....
 
I will have to ask Toilet Duck to do that for me then as he is the one who got it for me so maybe he can just get a swop out then
 
That would be a good idea.. just get it swapped out if u can.. so much easier and you get a new drive out of the whole deal... so yeah...
 
Swap out, end of story. Don't accept this subpar quality.
 
I don't have any probs with mine...LG DVD writer. Had it since last year October I think. Had problems with Samsung though, twice! Maybe its the drivers?
 
LG is good. lol...thats their slogan too! haha:D Maybe its just bad luck...I don't believe 2 Samsung writers breaking is bad luck.
 
I've also had a LG CDROM drive, which just stopped working after heavy usage. It wasnt dirty inside at all.

*eyeing my LG CDWriter suspiciously*

My CD Writer still works, so yes, go see if you can get it swapped out, it's still under warranty, but do it ASAP...
 
Samsung ?

I have 3 samsungs DVD writers dual , never had any problems other than software causing ***a.

Had an HP which failed after 6months and the replacement also failed after 6 months ;-(
 
I use A-Open for my DVD Drive, Sony for my CD-Writer and an unknown drive (says nothing infront <.<) for DVD Writer, all drives are perfect still.
 
Only had LG and Samsung drives that I can remember and never had problems with any of them.
