True, just checked on wikipedia, there it says that CDMA is part of 2.75G, but there's also a version that's part of 3G which isn't W-CDMAalchamy said:3G is W-CDMA as far as I understand, I do not think you can use normal CDMA phones on the network.

vodacom3g said:No, would not make sense. With GSM and W-CDMA, we're pretty much at the leading edge of current mobile technology.
Next big step (not soon though) will be some OFDM-based technology. Reaching towards 100Mb/s!
