CDMA in south africa

You mean 3G? well that has been around for quite a while :cool:
 
3G is W-CDMA as far as I understand, I do not think you can use normal CDMA phones on the network.

True, just checked on wikipedia, there it says that CDMA is part of 2.75G, but there's also a version that's part of 3G which isn't W-CDMA :confused: :cool:

No, would not make sense. With GSM and W-CDMA, we're pretty much at the leading edge of current mobile technology.

Next big step (not soon though) will be some OFDM-based technology. Reaching towards 100Mb/s!

Exactly... no need for CDMA, as it is a step behind 3G.
