CDs Making a Comeback?

There are one or two artists who's CD's I would like to own again.

Music that can not be found here anymore. If not for the costs involved to import - mostly the shipping costs - I would have made the effort already instead of resorting to the high seas.

Who downloads music? Everything is streamed now.

Looked at my music folder with all my mp3's on last week and thought it's about time I trashed the 2TB's as never use it anymore.
I use Spotify, for 99.9% of my music, the 1% that Spotify doesn't have (for stupid reasons) I have FLAC files on a file server. MP3 is lossy and I can hear it.

I have Spotify but it only features 1 album of Garth Brooks from 1995. He has had alot more great songs since.

I currently use a VPN to use Amazon Music free but it is not always possible to use it and the cost to go full version is not yet worth it to me.

Are they even still making them? I thought I saw most manufacturers end CD production lines?

In the states yes. Locally, I have not seen a physical music store in a long time, not even Cash Crusaders have them anymore.

The wife has a huge CD collection going back to her school days. Alot we have ripped but there are still 100's to go through... But it's not worth the effort, she streams on YouTube and Spotify anyway.

She burns CD's for the car now and then as her car does not have Bluetooth or USB.

I used to buy SA artist cds back in the day. But when the US artist bragging about their wads of cash, I would not hesitate to get my friends to burn me a cd, since they did not need my money.

I now stream from Youtube music via the family plan.
