celeron 3.0 GHZ

From what I've heard, Intel tests their chips, If it doesnt pass a certain test (for overclocking, eg)m, then instead of being thrown away, they sold as Celerons.
Good for basic use but not if you wanna upgrade everything else.

Not the celerons, they are different in design and usually have a lot less cache.
Intel will test their cpus c2d etc and then sell them according to the GHz rating achievable with the chip.
AMD sell their flaky x4 cpu's as X3's where the X4 has one flaky core.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a celeron if it is for basic office work, emails etc.
