CELL © 21 Mbps Network here! ... almost

Good news for captownians. The cell c 3g service is going to be launched this week for them.
I got a call again from cell c now. They asked me about the area i am staying.
Joburg is last one to get the service. Somewhare in october but they dont have specific date as yet.

this week I don't think so, only one city launching this week and it aint CT. why would they launch one of the biggest cities first.

There is no 3G coverage yet, so you will only have edge. And no modems are network locked, it's illegal to sell network locked equipment in SA.

Which city do you think they going to launch first?
But the lady from cell c told me that they launching in capetown this week.
 
Cape Town wheeeeeeee here comes cell c........21mbps...................heard it too!
 
It seems the launch will actually take place this week (in PE). However, lets not get our panties or briefs into a knot just yet. Remember also that they said the roll out will be city by city. That means it could take even up to a year before some cities get HSPA+. Like they said, keep an eye out for details of the roll out in your local press. Joburgers, expect launch in two weeks (i.e. mid-September [2010; by the way]) - if anything said by Westgate branch is to be believed.

Is there a Wifi router available that could take advantage of the 21M HSPA+ network? I would want to share the connection across several devices

I am not sure if there is any specific wifi router available but i think you can use any wireless router which supports usb dongle.
 
CellC - Now that we have the deal, can we have Dual SIM card with that!
 
So they are saying it will happen on Friday:
