CELL © 21 Mbps Network here! ... almost

Sounds impressive, but may mean nothing. Look at other providers, that provide faster than Telkom and faster than 7.2 3G.

Sounds great but I still find Cell ©'s coverage lacking.

same towers = similar coverage, surely?
Right now, with no users, 3G coverage may appear better. It does to me, I can receive (but not register on) Cell C 3G but I can't even 'see' Cell C GSM.

Do you have the coverage map of cell C 4Gs? or you just talking about the present edge or gprs coverage?

I'm talking about Cell ©'s coverage in general.

http://www.cellc.co.za/about/coverage-map

Based on the above map, I should have good coverage yet I don't get much of a signal inside OR outside my house on my CELL © powered mobile handset . I phone my daughter almost every night on her mom's CELL © number and we have a 'broken' conversation - very similar to Trevor Noah's joke about can you hear me now cell phone calls.

Does anyone know when they're launching their R999 & R1999 data packages?

No. Nobody knows as yet. They are waiting for the dongles to arrive before they announce the date. But according to the feed back from cell c through the telltrevor.co.za the prices are confirmed. So it is just a matter of waiting.

Well why don't you use a Cell C sim card in a device like the K4505? Instead of purchasing a new modem?

From the Cell C website:

21mbps dongle buddle for R1999

"When will this be released? the rumour was it was supposed to be announced today? Can you give us an update please?"

Comment by Cell C
Dear Titeroper, As previously stated the information published on mybroadband did not originate from Cell C.
Cell C is currently readying our 4Gs network and data products for rollout.
The rollout will be taking place city-by-city so keep your eyes on your local press for exciting announcements coming shortly.

Where are you based & what device did you use?

This wasn't actual test. It's average speeds of connections that carry provider's name.

It can be their backhaul tests or business solutions. Look carefully at that list, there are other companies that I never heard of and provide better service than Telkom copper.

If it's affected by their "4G^s", let's see how far they will keep up on that list when it will be launched.

Seems like Telkom need to start using RAU as a pool to employ future employees.. :D
