Hi anyone with some advice?

My Cell C 4G connection, that has been stellar in the past have been useless the last 3 days. I see various reports of the network being down etc. My question is that when I don't get 4G signal it drops to 3G but I am unable to connect to the 3G signal. Must the sim card be provisioned for 3G even if it works on 4G. If so do I need to visit a store for this or can @Cell_C assist in this regard?

Thanks

Is this a normal sim or is it fixed LTE?

I have never been able to connect to the 3G network. I will ask Cell C to check my sim. Also does Cell C still have a roaming agreement with MTN? Should I be able to connect to the MTN 4G network if Cell C is down or is that not how it works?

Might be a problem with the sim. I have had a vodacom sim not wanting to connect to 4G and got it fixed. Didn't auto provision apparantly. They do have the roaming agreement with MTN although only in areas where Cell C doesn't have 3G/4G. If there is a network problem in your area I doubt that it will switch to MTN as roaming sites are pre-determined. Take the sim to a Cell C store or try customer care and ask them if the sim is provisioned for 3G and 4G and explain your problem to them
