Cell Broadcast on Channel 50 moved ???

What's with the cell broadcast area info these days? Has it moved from channel 50?

All I get is some weird statistics about "V4L 58% vodaX & others Y %" gobbledygook - no area info, what tower you connected to etc. Have they (vodacom) switched their CB channel?

Pretty annoying all this cr@p scrolling across the screen, so now to try to find out how to switch it off or what the new channel is....:whistle:

The V4L message is there to tell prepaid clients that is on that package the discounted call rate that they are getting from that particular tower at that particular time.
 
Thou the Channel 60 doesn't really tell you much like it did before...I would get a message once in a blue moon
 
Aah, thanks all for the info. That's much better.

You right, not much broadcasting going on around here - but that's fine.
Rather nothing than those V4L messages.

I found where to switch it off completly too, burried deep under an extended menu somewhere that i didn't know existed on the fone.
