Cell C BlackBerry users to get compensated

Cell C is doing a lot of things right lately. While Vodacom has been doing a lot of things wrong.

I am considering switching back again, I was with Cell C for 4 years, and during the time the GPRS was so unstable (I remember Mxit would always disconnect because of it). Can anyone comment on the stability of the connections.

They've improved by leaps and bounds since their big HSDPA push.
 
Agreed, I had cell c for near on 4 years and never used it due to their network reliability, but nowadays it's quite solid. Get 3G quite often on my bb on cell c
 
A good gesture from Virgin. Cell C's gesture is rather tepid but definitely in the right direction. MTN and Vodacom - nothing. Their product managers probably need to get a financial model from an overworked analyst, then stand in the queue to see a boss who's onto 'more important things' then get 101 signatures from across the organisations. Perhaps next week.
 
Any MTN reps on this forum? Where's YOUR response HUH? If the "little guys" can do it SO CAN YOU!!!!
 
@Piesang - its more compensation for the extra sms's I had to use to make up for the missing BBM in my case.. Plus the fact that if CellC and Virgin can do it why not the others..

I don't know how Cell C was before but coming from Vodacom I am not completely impressed by Cell C's network, it can be better. I am, however, never going back to Vodacom!!

I am sure Cell C will improve further in that department. They offer great value for money so I am pretty happy on that aspect.
 
Congrats Cell C, a small gesture of goodwill for something that wasn't even your fault - what a brilliant way to get some good press.
 
Really great to see a Cell C and Virgin refunding customers for the downtime.

Whats really not cool to see is that Vodacom and MTN havent done the same. They still know they have the market and really couldnt give a damn about doing the right thing.
