I am a Vodacom contract subscriber.

I have been for nearly 10 years.

My contract is up for renewal at the end of this month.

Today I have been getting Cell C Connect spam calls on this Vodacom contract number trying to sell me Cell C Connect services and crap!!!!!

How many other network contract subscribers have been approached by these people lately? I would not be surprised if someone at Cell C is going through the soon to be contract renewals list of other providers and is now giving these people a ring.

I have received 6 of these calls today!!! SIX friggin Cell C Connect calls making me aware that I can port my number upon contract expiration without losing my existing number.

Great, thanks, yes, I know about this now... so STOP phoning me.

What a great way to p1ss off a prospective client by phoning continuously and then hanging up before you I have even finished my little rant as soon as you get the hint that I am not interested.

Have you nothing better to do than to phone the same numbers all day long trying to shunt your crap service and products into my earpiece.

STOPPIT STOPPIT STOPPIT!!!!

Rant over... I fell a tad less annoyed. Next time Linda from Cell C Connect phones, she will get a bloody Vuvuzela blast I swear!!!

Same happened to my mom when her upgrade was due. Cell C phoned her at least once every three days for two whole weeks. Vodacom and Virgin Mobile also called a few times to get her to sign with them. The only network that never actually called to get her to upgrade was MTN  She has been an MTN subscriber for 10 years now.

Cell C Sucks

I have been with them for 4 yrs as a customer and it sucks if you cant get through to talk to them to solve your problem. You have to email first and it takes 3 days or more for them to answer. So if you were thinking about Cell C, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE HEADACHE AND FRUSTRATION THAT COMES WITH IT. I HATE IT CANT WAIT FOR MY CONTRACT TO EXPIRE AND WILL GO BACK TO VODACOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

I second that - CellC is a useless bunch of criminals who basically steal your money, as what you're getting is so sh*t that it wouldn't even be worth to get it for free.

STAY AWAY - ALWAYS!

I too got 3 calls a week when my own Cell C contract was up for upgrade.

I was very rude, and they stopped calling eventually - but it really should never have come to that...once is enough!

I have been getting calls from these pests for 2 months already, and I have done the rude bit, now I am at the "ready to break things" stage. Who can we report these pests to? I have told them 5 times to remove my name from their database already.

This is usually the case, when you registering or signing up for new products, theres usually a box that permits the compny to share your detials with other companies, usually for promotional services.

Things are set to get worse, rumour has it that Cell C has apparently decided not to renew many of their franchise agreements with independant dealers like Cell C Connect and many of their Franchise stores and will take on all the calling in-house as they have identified this as a profitable and successful division. expect at least 20-30 calls per cycle once they have your details.
