Cell C - Connected but sites don't load

Any help with this problem will be much appreciated. I have been using a K3520 modem and mobile partner , and it was working perfectly with cell c until about last Thursday. Since then the connection is made, I know it is connected because the antivirus was able to update, however when trying any other site there is no download, the data usage for downloads stays at 0 even though uploads show that data is being transferred.

There was no signal issue because I was able to use my phone to browse - also Cell C.

It sometimes times out...

Open Command Prompt and type: ping www.google.co.za

if you get responses ( a line with ms at the end... connection restored )

Otherwise... make sure your dialler software is set to Auto network.. not 2g or 3g only.

Actually I can't even get to cellc plus there were was 400Mb available anyway - maybe it was timing out.

This past weekend I had some mixes results:

Saturday afternoon no data flowed at all, even though the dashboard says I am connected at HSPA+ with 100% signal. I disconnected and reconnected about 15 times but nothing.

On Sunday evening I tried again an behold: brilliant speeds!

For about 10 minutes

When I finally did get websites to open up (after numerous disconnects/connects), the speed was so slow, it wasn't worth using it in any case!

i can say that i had the same problems
reverted back to the old dash and my problems were solved,
i cant confirm that this is the problem, im just mentioning my experience

this was with the huawei modem though, so we are not using the same modems

Also had a the problem for a few weeks now in Grahamstown when I'm connected to cell c (edge only but that's fine) it is extreemmmmmmlllyyyyy non whoosh like (even for edge speeds) and times out ALL the time, even had to roam off vodacon just to get it working.
