Cell C Connection software

Does Cell C have connection software like the Vodafone mobile connect software?
Where can one download this?

The VMC software requests for the correct sim to be inserted. I've set up a manual connection which works fine, but would like additional features like balance requests on the PC.

Any ideas?

PS: I'm using the K4505-Z vodafone modem with the R999 24GB package.

Yes, but as far as I know it only works with Huawei modems.

Your modem is made by ZTE, try installing their generic dashboard. Search for "ZTE Join Air".

@GrootKoos: Can u please supply the settings for a manual setup? I am always connected as roaming? Is this correct? Take ur mem stick to a CellC shop and ask them to copy the connection manager. That's what I did but I could not get it to wrok with my modem.

Can't you see the phone numbers stored on the sim in the software you have? There's a number on my sim for balance requests. I think it's *104#. You can "dial" that on the service tab. The Cell C software has a nice big button to press and get your balance.

I only bought the data sim WITHOUT the modem. I tried installing the connection manager that I got at CellC afterwards but it does not see my modem. My laptop has a built-in (QUALCOMM GOBI 2000) broadband modem.

You either need to find the generic dash for the device (generally the notebook manufacturer will have one available for download), or if the drivers are at least installed you can use windows dial-up networking. CellC dash will presently only support Hauwei modems as it is a simple re-brand of Mobile Partner.

Use the MDMA program and uninstall the VMC software.

When you run MDMA, just click connect on the bottom left. It should ask you to choose a connection, one should already exist (VMC should of had already automatically created one ).

That's about it.
