Hi Everyone,
Please help, im desperate now and losing my patience.
I opened a 5GB data contract (24 Months) with Cell C on the 04/08/2011. Upon purchasing the 3G card I had a look at the coverage map (which is very vague) to see if I had adequate coverage in my area. I told the Salesman that I would see if the 3G card did work and had signal when I get home, if not, I will bring it back WITHIN THE 7DAYS that both Cell C and the Consumer Protection Act stipulates.
When discovering that the 3G card had little to no signal, I returned the 3G card within the 7 days to the Fourways store. I filled in a contract termination form as well as a book-in form which shows that the 3G card was returned to the shop in perfect working condition. The Saleman then called through to Cell C and I spoke to a Genteman and he confirmed on the phone that my contract is cancelled and I will not be billed as I closed my contract within the required period.
A few weeks later, I recieved a statement via email billing me for the month of September 2011? - which was debited from my bank account? I then immediately called through to customer care and reported this to a consultant, telling him what was happening. He also confirmed to me that my contract was cancelled, I have the reference number for that call - as all calls are recorded. October has now come and I have recieved another statement billing me again??
I have emailed Cell C and I have received no joy. Surely this is illegal what they doing, I played by THEIR rules and legally they are robbing me. I am going to the bank to stop the Debit order so they don't take more money from me.
Can anyone please give me advice or tell me what to do as I have tried to go through all the channels to sort this out.
Thanks
