On friday I went to the not so local Cell C shop in order to get a R149 Friday only special on 9 gig data with router. With the usual payslip 3 months bankstatement, Rica information and so forth. I was notified that my credit check was clean and I qualified for the 24 month Contract.

Then I recieved a call from the Cell C credit vetting department to confirm my details.

The details they had on their system was not completely mine. The outcome was that I do not qualify for a Contract at Cell C. After I wasted more than an hour on everything.

So If any one knows Kabelo at the vetting Centre. Tell her she is utterly useless at doing her job.

Got hold of the Customer complaints centre. Laid a complaint, and once again no responce or feedback.

No resolution of this problem, Ill go get another contract somewhere else.

Just a suggestion, try to contact the Cell C rep. If you in the right I'm sure they'll be able to escalate your query to the relevant people.

I don't "WANTS" to come back. I spent time and money to get new contracts, You denied me for unknown reasons. You do not want me to come back. The markets are crashing, The sales departments are crying for sales. I am getting tackeled and swarmed by sales personnel everywhere I enter.

And then you chase a paying customer away.

It's crazy how this **** happens. My financial low point was with Cell C in 2016. I somehow got rejected for R99 per month contract, at least now I can laugh about it.

True there is a major issue with credit vetting data accuracy. Possibly credit bureaus are the cause. This is annoying but not a threat to you when it is Cell C as there are alternatives.

The problem is more severe when your business requires services from an operator like Telkom in an area in which Telkom operates as the sole service provider of non-mobile data services.

One mistake on their part can interfere with your ability to operate. Furthermore Telkom does not respond. You can sit with the highest credit rating for a service for which you do not even want credit and still be denied service while you have an existing ongoing account and credit record for over a decade with another division of Telkom such is Telkom's utter incompetence.
