Cell C Customer Manipulation

Every time the I've gone to get a new phone from Cell C in the last couple years,the sales people will always try to dissuade from the phone you ask for and recommend you get a Chinese one,saying its better for your use case. No issues against Chinese phones,I've had good experiences with Huawei but it does feel like they're getting some kind of commission to shill those brands. It just feels scummy. I was looking at a Z Flip 3 and the lady said they had a lot of returns on that breaking which I know is BS because I've seen reviews and durability tests with people deliberately trying to snap it and it still being able to function,even asked around at other stores and they all say they've had no complaints. Has anyone experienced this before?

In fact I've found their technical guys helpful. The regular call centre is not much use, they are all reading from flow-charts
