Hi, I just want to be clear about the way Cell C's data bundles and data rates work.

I have a Straight up 200 contract with 500Mb included, and a Straight up 100 contract with 100Mb included. Not every month, but every other month, I use up all the data and go into OOB rates, at which point my account obviously skyrockets.

The way I understand it, If I buy a data bundle (even the smallest bundle), I keep the in bundle rate even when that bundle has been depleted and I go into OOB again. Is this correct?

If the above is correct, my main question is: If I buy a data bundle before my included monthly data has been used, what happens? Could the same result as mentioned above be achieved by simply buying the smallest data bundle available month to month so that when I go out of bundle, I get the data bundle's rate, not the normal OOB rate? ... or does my included data fall away if I buy a data bundle prematurely?

Hi Jeffrsnapln, you need to load additional data bundle to avoid the .99 cent out of bundle rate. When the bundle is depleted you will be charged .99 cents. Unlike before, you could load the smallest bundle and continue with the in bundle rate even after your bundle is depleted. .*DM*

“And even if you go out-of-bundle… 99c is a good rate,” Dos Santos said.

OOB Must die, it must not even touch my airtime which I use for calling.
