Ratings agency Standard & Poor’s warning over Cell C’s R2bn unsecured debt is is no cause for concern to the head of First National Bank’s new mobile network.

Shareholders are always more important than customers because they own the business. The marketers might claim otherwise, but no one will do business for some else's sake.

Bankers should do banking and phone companies should [-]rape their customers[/-] do telecoms. The relationship might get cosier and they may cross-invest, but they are fundamentally different businesses.
