Cell C drops bomb in mobile pricing war

That R300 is the best value for money imo. Brilliant deal. Pity their reception is so poor in my experience...

I actually went and bought a cell c sim card to test the recption at home and work and it seems to be better than my MTN card is.

A colleague who I deal with on a daily basis is on Cell C and we tend to spend the first 5 minutes of our conversation discussing where exactly in his garden he should be standing.

The next 10 minutes are spent repeating everything we discuss and the final 5 minutes is him turning on his speaker and holding his phone in the air like he's at a rave, just before we get disconnected and resort to emailing...
 
bloody hell. mtn doesnt need to compete though. they are above that. they make enough as it is. idiots.

Cell C's coverage is not as bad as people make it out to be. What is bad is their customer service along with MTN or at least that is my experience with them.

The reason I'm back at Vodacom is due to the crappy service I got from Cell C and MTN. Ever tried calling MTN customer care and the message you get is "number does not exist."
 
So if I buy R310 airtime via online banking and I buy a 2GB bundle Ill get the 2GB bundle and 900MB for the recharge?

Guys, what is the point of having a SIM using which neither u can make calls nor u can use data. Now I am on a 329 contract which is real useless as I am not able to make calls at the time of need.

Once I was in fordsburg trying to call my wife but did not have network coverage. Though was able to make a call using a friends phonw who was on hellomobile....powered by cellc which relies on the power of vodacom again.

Previously had vodacom which was fantastic. what is the point in lowwering prices when they do not have proper infrastructure in place...just fooling customers. Now I am in CBD and my 3G fluctuates like anything. hardly I am able to use. Do not ever listen to anyone who says that he is always on/connected using his cellc sim. real crap.

Vodacom has super K@k service imo. Struggled for a month to get my contract cancelled.

I am super happy I changed to Cell C.
