I've been using the 24GB packages for the last 2 yrs,and have had a few issues with signal, mostly inconsistent levels. That was explained by an independent contractor as data traffic on the nearby towers,as I live close to the N3 in Durban. It was remedied, though, and things have been fine for the last year or so. I recently moved onto a Giga20 package, and it was great for the first few weeks, but since Thursday or Friday last week,my E1752 has only been locking onto an HSPA signal, where as I previously would have WCDMA or HSDPA. Accordingly, the down and upload speeds are very slow, although it seems to be more of an issue for bigger items.Youtube videos won't load properly, and big jpeg files in my emails won't send or upload to FB. Any ideas?:wtf:

How so? HSPA is faster than WCDMA.

It is normal for your modem to switch to HSPA/HSDPA when you are downloading something and then to WCDMA/3G when the connection is idle.
Are you sure you don't have some background downloading going on?

Really? I was under the impression that the speed progression was HSPA, HSDPA,WCDMA (Thanks so-called "computer expert "mate... ) Look,I'm not a techie by any means, but over the last 2years, I have definitely noticed that when my dongle is using HSPA it is slower than the alternatives. What really is bugging me is that,it's refusing to use any other connection, and regardless of what connection I'm getting,my speeds have suddenly gone down the toilet. I still have a few gigs left that I'd like to use for downloading, and I can't. Cell C customer line promised me response within 48hrs,and its now been almost 4 days without any feedback. I just want my connection speed back to where it was! Pi**es me off that I'm paying for a service and I can't make use of it!
