Cell C evening data connection issues!

You are welcome. It is a pity. After they sorted out that Whatsapp issue we had were they connection would stall I was very happy with Cell C and RBM actually. But this just got out of hand now ... and that is why I left. Who know....if they sort this out I might port back to them again .... but definately on a month to month basis. It will take a lot to convince me to do a 24 month contract .
 
Well known issues with cell c.
Mine has been going on for a month, 2-3 hours of internet a day maximum

I am sitting with the same problem, PM it to Cell C rep here but did not get any reply. So it seems that they have all grab their portion of the Money that they have received and made a duck.

Cell C in Albertville is a nightmare.
Work for about an hour in the morning and the rest of the day and evening you can forget to log onto the web or e-mail.
How must a business do business if you can't be supplied with a proper Network? Technical Help desk keep on telling us to switch to Vodacom network, but all we get is "you are not allowed to use this network" So Vodacom does not allow Cell-C to Roam in our area. Have the same problem in Auckland Park, but there you can roam but only Edge.

Will it help to take this matter to the Ombudsman?

3 Months ago we have been told that they are busy to upgrade the network and by the End of May it will be finish.

Today I have been told by the Technical Help Desk they are upgrading the network and it will be finish by the end of this month.

How can we trust this guys and how can we believe them?
 
And right on queue. Since 18:00 internet is fk'd. No net now till about 22:00 - 23:00.

It's as if it's set to turn off and on, on set times...

Same here in Durban, every f#%kin night for the past 5 months. Its like an automatic switch. LOL.
 
Pta-West, have line of sight to the Telkom tower, but no Cell C connectivity. Good signal and status says "connected" but no throughput.
Frustrating beginning of the year, rage face showing lately.
What recourse does one have? Or is the "best service agreement" so vague that one is screwed as soon as CellC have our money.
 
Went out lanst night and bought a 500 MB bundle and a Vodacom sim. Wanted to try it and was amazaed at the speeds. Sure it's more expensive than CellC but it works :)

Will be canceling CellC data contract today and pay the claw back. Rather pay little more on Vodacom and have the internet I want ALL the time.

Sorry CellC my love for your cheap rates and shoddy network has run it's course...
