I must admit, I have never ever seen 4g or LTE on Cell C on an iPhone 6. On Vodacom I get 4g all the time. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and Cell C has not delivered.

I'll get a Cell C sim card and try out there network whenever they actually launch the LTE and provide a coverage map.

Vodacom added over a 1000 new LTE towers to its network the last 2 to 3 months.

"Service" to me suggests it is active and working. Therefore, according to me this guy is lying.

Else he should be saying that the towers in Gauteng have been upgraded to support LTE, but they are not yet switched on. According to what I have read the towers in Gauteng have been upgraded for LTE so long ago, when they do switch it on the cooling fans will most likely seize up from all the dust it has accumulated.

Last I heard they were testing around their offices in Sandton and that was about a year ago... Roll out after that, not so much.

Anyone using their LTE anywhere? How does it perform ?

I had one of the Cell C LTE specials a few years ago when it launched, I think it was 100 or 200GB and came with a SIM and USB dongle.
Was supposed to be for 12 months access with a once off fee.

Speeds were great for a while, then they recycled my number and when I eventually got it back they disabled LTE on it and denied that it ever had LTE to start with.
