"Cell C has a great future"

Blue Label Telecoms co-CEO Brett Levy has stated that Cell C has a bright future, despite the mobile operator's current financial situation.

Speaking at the company's financial results presentation for the year ended 31 May 2019, Levy said that looking at only the core business of Blue Label Telecoms, the company has had a good year.

and how is Blue Label doing?

Some folks are already moving or adding in other "Blue Label-options" to prepare...

As for Cellc, perhaps too many orphan/off-spring products playing in the garden under the umbrella.

Yeah Brett, forgive us for not buying it.

Cell C needs some serious plastic surgery to have a bright future. You let Jose fsck it hard for too long.

Cell C has been on a financial knife edge for as long as I can remember. There is a chance they could shine, but not really seeing it anytime soon. That debt mountain is a problem. Their best bet is for a new buyer that drops a few billion into Cell C off the bat to pay off most of the debt and then lets them move forwards without those crazy repayments hanging over them.

We're looking at moving two of our CellC numbers over to TM when end of contract have been reached (3 months to go), as CellC performs abysmally at our house, yet Telkom have a good signal etc.

But weird that my CellC data SIM works quite well... (not worried as this is month to month, can cancel anytime, so if CellC start to do silly buggers, I'll just cancel it and get another SIM and number).

Ah well... we get much better options from Telkom for a better price anyway.

Not gonna happen... That was their best bet from Blue Label, and they're in the process of tanking that whole business...

I would be surprised if Cell C doesn't go into some form of business rescue in the next few years.
