Cell C HSPA+ and android

What you mean? Plug the USB Stick in the phone? If so, you can't do that.

You take the SIM Card from the USB stick they give you and put that in the HTC(Best Android's in my opinion) and you'll have to wait for the service settings to come through. After that, you should be able to go online.

Also to add to what Tero said: I don't know if one can recharge on that package, but 3 gigs won't last you a full year. This is Android we're talking about :)

you get routers that can share the cell c speed stick connection to your phone...

For Your Information: 8ta has less coverage than CellC. Stop talking nonsense!

Where I live there is no Cell C coverage but there is 8ta, voda, mtn coverage. Keep in mind i live in East London. Bescides, you cant use the internet properly with Cell C's "4Gs Network"

I lived in Nelspruit when I got my CellC Package and I maxed out my modem completely. Your area may be a problem, but this isn't necessarily true for the rest of South Africa. Where I live currently I use CellC on Edge and I downloaded a Gig this week....

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't get any notification for these replies.
I have cell c stick 5gig, the black one. So you said I can't just stick it in a HTC and go online. But did you say I can still go online by putting in the sim card that came with the stick? and the amount of date I use this way will be taken off from my cell c stick 5gig just like I use it on my laptop?

Let me ask you more as you seem to own a HTC. I've been shopping around for a smart phone. Iphone is too expensive so it is out. I like Android. I need to edit and attach Word and Excel which you can with Android. Do you think the battery life is an issue? If you work on the HTC does the battery go empty in half a day?

What' the difference between Gingerbred, Android 2.3 and Icecream? Android does not have the deal like Blackberry with which you can email as much as you want for R60. I think you have to buy data 100meg for R45 and 250meg for R95. one email is so tiny but if you google, check weather, waves and all, does 100 meg go quickly? If so I have to succumb to BB.
I appreciate your input.

Cellc stick is a modem. You need computer to use it. You can't plug it in the phone, but phone has built-in modem for identical purpose. Your 5GB promotion is linked to the SIM card, so if you put SIM in the phone, you will use data from 5GB promo account.

Android + a small screen wont be ideal for editing Excel documents.
