Cell-C / IS "fixed" LTE

My internet partially worked for about 2 hours this afternoon but has again been unusable since about 18h00 this evening. Anyone else's down at the moment?

Worst issue here is the lack of Axxess and CellC to communicate this issue. I would like to see My Broadband feature this in the Newsletter tomorrow, how do we make that happen?

Companies like these do not have individual customers interests in their Business Plans.

Just want to add here as well. Got the Axxess cell c fixed LTE. Worked wonders in Feb. Was on 100GB package. Upgraded it to 200GB for March, I have only been able to use 1GB of it since beginning of March.

Not able to browse any website or stream anything when I get home from work in the evening.

Thank god I didn’t cancel my Adsl. If this continues till the end of the month, I’m probably gonna cancel this.

The worst part is wherever you turn on the internet you see Axxess advertising Cell C Fixed LTE, and even on their site Status is all good, just medium impact article about setting up the router for new users.
At the moment I'm not even getting reply when pinging 8.8.8.8

Yip, the lack of communication from Axxess is a disgrace. It seems as though it's perfectly ok to swindle customers out of their money but expecting something as simple as communication is clearly asking too much. I'll give this one more day to get a satisfactory answer failing which I'll be cancelling my Cell C LTE package as well as my ADSL line with Axxess.

Exact same experience, as mentioned above. I've gone and upgraded my ADSL now and downgraded the LTE package. Since cancelling it will cost me money in any case (pro rate of the router). So I'm giving it one more month @ R349, you never know...

In the mean time though, I'm back to ADSL. So since Hellopeter is outdated, where does one give companies the old middle finger these days?

Has been unusable since 7pm. MTNs one day Uncapped that gets throttled to 128Kbps after using 150mb is better than this

switched to cellc a week ago after rain speeds gone like dial up , worked fine first week , past weekend cant open international sites up with cellc , so for temp I used a local vpn to browse international , today I got a prepaid Telkom sim , if all goes well I'm a make a vid of pissing on this cellc sim card.
Which VPN service are you using?

I am still busy dealing with IS regarding the issue as it's also affecting all our clients.

Just want to confirm, are you are all experiencing the same problem as this:

You can browse and access www.google.co.za perfectly fine.
However browsing any other website loads sometimes, then does not load at all.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

Regards,
Dale.

No, that's not correct.
All websites have issues loading, eventually after 5 or 6 re-tries it does load, but if the site loads assets from another host, those assets don't load unless I re-try another 5 or 6 times. Then once the site loads completely, it will work perfectly as long as I keep browsing it. If i stop for about 10 minutes then load the site again, it starts timing out again.
Even pinging google.co.za times out.
This is not a DNS issue either.

Buzybuy, that would be a fairly accurate description of my issue most of the time. Although, last night just about nothing including google would load.

Problem is that it looses connection somehow. If you simply ping 8.8.8.8 /t , it replies about 5 times under 50ms, and then you either get a very slow response or a time out, then fine for another 5 to 10 pings and then timeout again. Think this is the same issue as when browsing the web, that is why you have to refresh, just gotta get the timing correct and not try to load in a timeout period.
Last night the ping did not reply at all. ping2.PNG

Hi, i have the same issues with the service, Had it active for 2 days, just a standard ping to 8.8.8.8 fails about 20% of the time, steam login has to attempt multiple times, same for any updates or any server connections. websites including google fail to load until multiple attempts... I have tried googles dns, opendns, even some random dns, Ive locked to 4G, ive even tried tunneling over Tor network...all same timouts. im on day 3 or 4 before i have to return it, sent a support ticket with all the details, plus what i tried from lurking here, and said please dont send excel sheet.today i recieved canned response and the ods file which my pc says may be virus....sorry for rant and hope anyone has luck, im using lte.broadband.is APN....guess its over IS

That is true for me.

I've just cancelled this with Axxess. Thankfully due to the inefficiency of Telkom, they never received my ADSL cancellation request which means I can fall back and use my ADSL.

Axxess support is ridiculous, had to fill in the spreadsheet yesterday, mailed it back and then last night asked for an update, my words "Is there any feedback about this? I have filled in the spreadsheet and have not heard anything from you again." and then support response "Good day, With regards to your Cell C issue, Would you kindly please fill in the attached so that we may Log the issue with Internet Solutions" :crylaugh:

did yours arrive as .ods or excel? they sent me ods file which excel doesnt open unless you install without plugin

"ODS is a spreadsheet file format used by OpenOffice/StarOffice. ODS is an OASIS-formatted file, which is expected to become the standard file format for sharing documents. ODS files can also be opened by Microsoft Excel if it has the OpenXML/ODF Translator Add-in. ODS files store information so that it can be arranged into columns and cells."

for the next person lol... i basically replied send me excel or don't bother.
