Hi all,

I bought an iPhone 4 32GB and now see that it takes a micro sim, do any of you know if Cell C has these freely available now? Also what is the cost of a sim swap to a micro sim?

Thanks in Advance,
Blaze~

Swim swap to a micro sim costs R120 at Cell C Sandton City. I stand to be corrected, but you'll only have access to the EDGE network, not the 3G network as the iPhone 4 does not support it

Would really prefer being able to just buy a micro sim? Are they scarce?

Not sure about being scarce - just a rip off.

Rather cut it. The chap who works at MTN at Hyde Park has a cutter and he does it for free. I'm with Vodacom and it wasn't a problem for him.

Yeah I've cut 3 Cell C cards already for iPads and iPhones and I'm pretty useless with such things (poor co-ordination). You just need to compare it with another micro-sim and align the wires carefully.

I tried this with a spare Vodacom sim I had, did not go well...

Apparently its R150 for a micro sim from Cell C and then R150 for the sim swap... Wow.

Ended up buying a Vodacom Micro Sim for now, as Cell C wont have stock for a week or 2. Useless.

errr... Blaze you're highly misinformed. I was just @ the cell c showroom in sandton and picked up two micro sims. They just loaded my deal onto normal sims then just swopped over to micro sims. It didn't cost R150 either...

I called the Cell C in the glen and that is what I was told? So if as you say I am misinformed, it is thanks to the info I recieved from Cell C themselves :)

Hi there! I went to the Cellc shop in Centurion mall on Saturday. The did a sim swop for me on my 5gb data sim, and charged me R135.00 for the new microsim. That was it! And it was active within 10 minutes, not like VC that takes 6 hours! Using the microsim in my IPad2, and actually writing this on my Ipad

I just wasted two sims at the office trying to do that today and no luck

EDIT: Just phoned my VC SP and its R65 for a prepaid Micro Sim - sod this, buying one instead

I paid R60 for a micro sim from Chatz Cellular in Sunward Park , Boksburg at the beginning of the week on a sim swop basis. By the time I arrived home it was active - kudus to VC
