Cell C nears 20 million customers

How, just how? Every second person I speak to is unhappy with their service
 
How many subscribers do VC and MTN have?

PS: Quite unhappy CellC user here. Been waiting 40 days to have an issue fixed...some people just decide to close the issue and not inform me...reopened it for the last time yesterday. If it doesn't get fixed I'm going to sacrifice my airtime and just port to MTN/VC and enjoy some LTE lovin'

In my case I like the price and the promise of billions to be spent on the network unfortunately they wont keep me after my contract expired.
 
My second SIM is Cell C but yes the network stinks. I cannot make call at 40% signal while that is not a problem with the other networks - TM I get speeds in excess of 4Mbps at <30% signal and Cell C nothing
 
I think their network improved, i could hardly get a stable 3G signal, never mind HSDPA, in my area before but now I get stable connection & dropped calls are noticeably less. This past weekend I even took out my MTN sim to use Cell C, so hey.

20 million minus one. I'm out as soon as my contract allows. Fool me once...
 
I guess I was also counted as a Cell C customer since I use their sim for my laptop - but I am not, I'd rather count as a Vodacom customer who have been good to me for over 10 years
 
Doubt that it really is 20 million customers, more like "active" Sim Cards? I have a few sim cards left over from my data contracts that ended but have not used them cause the network sucks. I see that these Sim Cards are still active although these were the 100 GB data SIMs that converted to prepaid at the end of the term so should have been disabled by now.

I thinks its CellC 's ploy to inflate " customer" numbers. I have not used the sim cards for almost a year yet it was still active.

4 years satisfied with Cell C.

No VC or MTN network at my current place and my previous one had no VC coverage either (in the middle of Sandton).
 
I just left Cell C for MTN. Couldn't stand their broken network any longer. MTN isn't exactly great, but at least it works.
 
Great to hear that they are doing well.The haters must be annoyed as hell.

Now don't repeat your mistakes of the past Cell C LTE is VERY important,roll it out and fast!
