Cell C Porting

Hey Guys. I need some help. I ported my number from Mtn to Cell C. Mtn Sim stopped working but when I inserted the Cell C Sim my number did not port over from Mtn. I have tried getting in touch with the porting department with no luck at all. Can anybody help? My number is now not registered anywhere.

Was told today by a in-store sales person, that three people tested positive for COVID at there head office, so they have been closed since Wednesday and can't perform sim swops. How true this is, I don't know

My SO took out a contract yesterday with you guys. She wants to port her old Cell C prepaid number to her new Cell C contract

If it's a new contract and already active then it's called a number change. They will be able to do that.

Yeah, but they were adamant they cannot, since head office is closed, so where a Port would have been free, now its R250 to do the change, but it can only be done next week Wednesday, according to the sales agent

Number porting and number change are different services, you advised that your SO wants to port her old Cell C prepaid number to her new Cell C contract. That action would be a number change not porting as with porting you move to a different network provider using the same number.
