The Cell C CEO advised international travelers to rather just purchase a connection from a local operator which will save the subscriber from the potential risk of a very high roaming bill.
Hi mith,
You can find our Roaming Tariff on the following Link http://www.cellc.co.za/services/international-roaming just select the country you are visiting from the drop down.
Well your company is going to be paying A LOT of money for your roaming then... Think tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of Rand... And it will more or less be the same on all the networks - because the international operators are the ones sending the bill...
EDIT: On these new packages I'm pretty sure you won't be able to roam at all unless you load them with airtime too.
Yes i did check that link on your site, but it doest show data rates
if I check for the UK it doesn't show the data rate.
Thing is currently we are on Vodcom....and basically what we want to know is how does the international data roaming rates compare to them.
It'll probably be the same as the GPRS rate on that table?
I thought so too.....but if you look at vodafone, orange or o2 its gprs rates are R0.00
Edit: If you roam a lot in countries with Vodafone networks, then VC will probably be slightly cheaper... But you'll be paying a whack more for your local data!
I'd imagine then that Cell C don't have a roaming agreement with those networks...
