Cell C sim swap

Here's my question:
I've been using a cell c for about +5 years up until November 2016 when I decide to get an MTN sim, meaning I haven't used the cell c sim for 5 months now. I recently decided to go back to using cell c but now I can't find the sim so I'm wondering if I can still do a sim swap on a sim that has not been used for 5 months?

I still have all the call records from November and recharge info
