Is there some number of something I can SMS to find out when I'm eligible for an upgrade on my contract?

With Vodacom it's as simple as sending an SMS and waiting for a reply...Cell C tends to overcomplicate things!

Thanks ;)

Eish it's their terrible customer service I'm trying to avoid lol...the last experience I waited an hour on the line to be told "I'm not sure, sorry"...

Well, it's what... 11:45pm... try now!
Get the number (only thing you wasting is battery power) and then post the answer here ;)

I've tried to find it, I can't find anything!

E-mail? Did the same with Italk yesterday since my contract expires August. Replied back to me today saying i can upgrade earliest 3 months prior :D:D Only 2 months left ( also emailed me all their march specials and if its any thing to go by, by may im looking at a wide range of free goodies i can have )

Why anyone would wanna be with Cell C is beyond me, MTN is the same... They are the worst by far, especially when it comes to reception.

Check it, I just sent my boss a SMS, it says "waiting" so I thought his phone was off...

I call him, it rings, I call him again, voicemail, I call him again, it rings.

SMS delivery report... WAITING

For 30 minutes!

And he is with Cell C, so I SMS my GM, thru immediately.

Moral of the story, Cell C might have cheaper contracts and such, MTN might spend alot of money on stupid ads, but Vodacom is the SHYTE! :)

OK well I've tried emailing them, thanks. Hopefully I've emailed the right place and they'll actually answer unlike so many companies :)

I don't use the Cell C SIM card...I use my Vodacom contract SIM. Cell C just have nice prices :p

I know... but yasus bru... ditch the congrat... that whatever you pay adds up at the end of the day

I had at one stage, 5x vodacom congrats... I watched my bloody salary vanish.

Why? Because I always wanted the cool phones... I'm so over THAT stage in my life ;)

I just need one because my current one is a little short of stuffed :P Taking the upgrade will work out to much more logical than opening a new contract at the mo.

If you go to the cell c website and log in with your number it tells you your account info and how many days to go till your upgrade is available. Also if you dial 140 and press the number for account info, there is a number you can press (cant remember which) that tells you whether ur due for upgrade.
