I found the problem. The app doesnt use BIS. I deleted my wap service books. I've connected to wifi now and its doing its thing. Will test it out when its done.

Do you know if it caches maps or downloads them on the fly?

Seems it needs a normal data connection to work. Not BIS. If i disable my wap service books it wont work. So the app might be free, but it will cost a lot to use. At least it's a step in the right direction.

Anyone know if this will be using BIS in the future? I understand these are the early days, but has Cell-C made any form of announcement about this?

Hi c10n3d_0r6

What BB do you have ?
I have tested it on:
BB9300 : successful
BB9780 : successful

will update once tested on more.

BB Torch 9800. Works perfectly off a wifi connection. Doesn't use BIS. I haven't tested normal wap.

Hi All

Cell Xplorer will not go through BIS/ BES to down load the maps and set routes.
Will go through the normal Cell C Wap site.
I have been informed, that this product will not consume a large amount of data.

Wow, interesting.
I have a droid on the Cell-C network. How can I give this a try?

Hi Beetman

Even though it do not go through BIS/BES.
It is an app from BlackBerry.
