Cell C Your mothers organs!

Words cannot express the utter anger,frustration,swearing,unbelief and total despair i have experienced
ever since optimistically switching to Cell C.
Why have the Gods allowed such an incompetent bunch of mother****,the right to pretend to have a "internet service"?
Oh sweet Lo.. where do i begin?
Gods forgive me for my hidden profanity and mods ,members too;I have had enough!

I had a Cell C sim a few years ago and coverage was crap anywhere at the time,for voice calls and especially inernet usage.I let it slip cause they were the new kids on the block,but went back to mtn.
As time went on,and numerous ads featuring husky voiced females extolling the virtues of Cell C,i began to notice them,especially when they started offering competitive data packages.
But i stuck with my trusted,reliable mtn,cause,hey,i didnt have any big problems with them.

Then Cell C busted out with a stand up oke doing their ads(LIAR)AND I ALMOST,ALMOST FELL FOR IT.
I will not buy Trevor Noahs Dvds anymore,he lied to me on those ads...
But then Cell C offered amazing data packages for prepaid a few months ago and boy,am i sorry i FELL for it.
I switched to cell c and ever since two months ago ,frequent voice disconnects,NO signal,ABSOLUTELY NO internet access at peak times,horrible,incompetent,customer service:They have no idea what they are talking about!Seriously,i know more than their "technical support"and i'm a normal oke!
My main gripe is atrocious internet connection;If voda and mtn can connect me,why in the name of jacob zuma,can't cell c?
They tried blaming everything from my sim to my phone to my pc to my laptop,even after trying different ones.
They suggested area out of coverage:If voda and mtn can,why cant you?
I live in Cape Town in a metro area,so theres no lions walking around here...
I can even see a cellphone tower from my house!
Cell C stop lying.

If they can get away with being our third major service provider,then i'm starting mine too.HOW HARD CAN IT BE?
Get a few hundred sims branded with my provider logo,have some antie do customer service,release short 3 second bursts of voice /internet access every 9 hours,and rake in the cash baby...
Sounds like Cell c,but i'll call it 'SUCKERS"
I am disgusted.
Cell C,never,never and never again:

Doesn't Cell C have a 2G and 3G roaming agreement with Vodacom?

Yeah, Cell C's main problem is coverage, maybe thats why MTN and Vodacom don't stress that much.

When I was still with Vodacom, I couldn't get any internet access on 2G/EDGE, I only got internet like once every 5 minutes on 3G. Im happy with Cell C, nothing less than 1mbps down.
 
A friend cancelled their contract 4 months ago, cell c still billed her afterwards, even put it on hellopeter, the idiot girl that supposed to help still hasnt come back to her and its still not resolved.

+1 on both Vodacom and Cell C
 
Cell C can't cope with their current growth.Their network coverage and quality is deteriorating by the day. Suppose you get what you pay for. As a business user they have become unreliable.
 
Maybe if you posted your location in CT it would help.

A few people on mybb use Cell C in CT and they are happy.

I also hope you bought a prepaid Cell C Sim first to test the coverage before porting.
 
OP best thing to do is port your number. Only way networks will get it is if people move to the best service providers.

That said, i am with Cell C and dont have much to complain about.
 
I feel your pain. The Cell C "Whooooooosh" has gone in my area too. Used to be awesome then slowly started degrading. When my year was up, I moved onto 8ta and have been very happy so far.
 
I agree amegabyte, I also did a 12 month stint with Cell C and at times we had great speed but then there were about two months what we had landline speed. 8ta don’t Whooooooosh it just zooms at a good pace!
 
I have no problems with Cell C what so ever always have 100% Signal with my Dongle and I get an average download speed of 5mb/s even use it to play xbox live :) and for the price I Couldn't be happier with Cell C. Maybe your just one of the very few people that's in an area with low coverage.

I had problems with my cellc internet,but just fitted an extension USB cable and re positioned my dongle now no problems .(i travel quite a bit and use my cellc on my laptop and ADSL at home )
I live in an area with bad vodacom coverage , all cell providers have good and bad coverage areas.
 
13 Month on CellC, with Whoooosh, also crawling and frequent disconnects based on time of day. At the price in 2011 I was reasonably happy. CellC rep (Armando) was helpful. 2012 with 8ta, speed is also variable but hardly ever under 1Mbps. Price is brilliant.

3 MTN SIMS (Cellphone, Brother's Cellphone, and my Tablet PC) but they have gone south in my area as well, mostly Edge with frequent disconnects.
