have a mtn contract with altech autopage. i have had reception issues since i moved into my current residence two years ago. their technician has been to my residence and confirmed that it is a problem. cell phone reception and 3g.
i have subsequently stopped paying them - why pay for something that aint working? they have black listed me now. mtn has offered to install an arial to boost the signal (sic). the body corporate is confused. I am still trying to explain to them... Will have to since I do not have a choice...
meanwhile me the consumer is screwed....
I have since taken out a cell c contract and reception is ALSO bad here in Big Bay Cape Town. looks like i have to move to an area where there is cell phone reception? wonder if cell c and mtn and icassa (sic) will pay for my transfers etc... Doubt it... since they are all a bunch of arrogant snobs!
Cell phone industry has TOTALLY lost the plot. they could not give a continental about service....
Thank goodness i have adsl uncapped at home and am using wi fi on the iPhone5 - great phone!
