Cell phone signal booster

Hi

I am looking for signal boosters for both broadband and phone calls that work like a repeater, and do not need to be plugges into the device. Signal very bad around home, but in some places (near the roof) good signal.
There are various signal boosters on the market, e.g signalbooster.co.za, www.mobilerepeatersouthafrica.com but has anyone tried them, and do they work?
 
Hello Have you found a workable option for Signal Boosting. Can you make any recommendations please

Or where do you live? Maybe I can give you a tower? :P

We've used two of these for remote sites, really great improvement both for phone calls as well as data throughput. Just need a little config to get them perfect. If you can, get a good external antenna and indoor antenna. Makes all the difference. Took one site from 1 bar to full signal.
 
Can anybody post an update What has worked what hasnt ?

Bought a solution through Poynting and they installed various internal antennae and one external, there was an improvement however there are still deadspots and you can walk while on a call in one area and then the call breaks up as you walk around
 
Er why haven't you guys approached your service provider? We have multiple contracts at home. MTN installed a booster and antenna on every level for free.

haha... tried that, get told "here is a reference number and silence thereafter.....
